Lights disappear when not far from the aircraft

I noticed that the aircraft lighting is removed at the LOD levels. I would like to illustrate this with a few pictures. Rotated a few degrees at the position for red and green navigation light!
The landing and taxi lights also disappear, while the light cones can be seen on the ground.
