Brakes temperature

Hi,

When I park the RJ and leave the brake fans on auto the brakes are cooling down which is correct but the indicators always show the highest reached temp while others go dark as the brakes cool down. Is this a bug or it's how it works in the real airplane? I fly the RJ in FS24.

Yes it is. If you press the test button on the panel you should see the red bars drop out.

@mhron I am sure the reason is to show the pilots and maintenance personal what the highest temperature was during and after landing so that they can act accordingly if overheated, or to see a problem early.

Why don't the brakes cool down when the gear is up? I landed with brakes a little warm and I did a quick turn around and got in the air again. But the brakes aren't cooling down while in the air.

If the BRK FANS switch is in the AUTO position, then power will be removed from the brake fans when the nose gear is not down and locked. However, even if the BRK FANS switch is in the ON position, the small, enclosed landing gear bay will slow down brake cooling, as there isn't really anywhere for the hot air to go.
