    Hello,

I've been flying the F28 for a couple days now (in MSFS2024 SU4 beta) and I kept having an issue where the engine would not start. I played around a bit more and realised that when I'm unable to start it's because the fuel pressure indicator lights are ON even when all the fuel boost pumps are ON.

Whenever this happened I'd get frustrated, restart the flight and then burn through the startup procedure really fast and it would be fine. I had a suspicion that I was taking too long on the startup procedure. So I started a new flight, powered on the APU, went through all the import parts of the preflight checks, and then turned the boost pumps on and waited. It took about 20 mins after the APU started, and there it was, the fuel pressure lights came on out of nowhere, and now the engines would not start.

I cannot find any mention in the manual of this behaviour, what the time limit may be, or how to fix it. So I'm left not knowing where this is a bug, or intended. And if it is intended, can it be fixed, or what exactly is the time limit? Is it from battery on? Or APU on? And how long do I have?

    Thanks

As far as I recall, there aren't any limits for how long the APU/GPU can be connected to the aircraft prior to engine start (unless the APU is on for so long that it depletes all of the fuel in the wings). The only thing I can think of in the 20-30 minute range would be the charge on the batteries. If the APU/GPU isn't connected to the aircraft and charging the battery, then the battery will deplete somewhere in that range.

It's not something I've personally seen before, even after testing 20-minute boarding times via the Boarding Simulation on the EFB, and I don't recall ever seeing it reported before. The thing to check will be if all the power sources are still connected to the aircraft and supplying electrical power.

However, just to caveat all of the above, we don't support any of our products on the MSFS Sim Update betas. The Sim Update betas are beta releases, so bugs are expected, and it would be a full-time job in itself to keep all our products fully compatible with each beta update.

If, once SU4 has been fully released, this can be replicated, could I kindly ask you to raise a ticket with Just Flight Support via the following link, and include screenshots of the cockpit at the time of this occurring (a video would be ideal too if possible), then our support will have the best chance to see what may be occuring, and attempt to replicate it: https://www.justflight.com/support

Okay, thank you for the info, it is useful to know it's probably not intended, I will try again on SU3, and SU4 when it is out before coming back!

        Thanks
