I just tried to fly the LOC DME Backcourse approach 18 at PASN. There is a localizer at 109.90 and a separate DME at the same frequency. Far away, I received the DME. But once I received the localizer, I no longer received the DME. I would have expected to receive the localizer and the DME at the same time. It's pretty important for this approach...
Maybe DME hold would've been a workaround (haven't tried if it works with this constellation), but it's still a very unexpected behavior.
