Anyone else having problems with the entry of the aircraft as described in Heading above?

After loading from the 'Free Flight' selection, I have the aircraft on screen with , inter alia, a selection 'Enter aircraft', which does not do anything, except change colour from grey to white.

I have no problem with starts from a runway, where you are placed automatically into the pilot seat.

Just to follow up on my original post, I see there is a similar post under the Arrows, which suggests using Shift+C. I have tried that to no avail.
Furthermore, I tried a standard MSFS24 aircraft, the Cessna 172 Skyhawk, and experienced no problem. In that example it shows Shift+C as the shortcut.

OK, resolved my own problem, but not sure of the logic. That doesn't matter, if it doesn't re-occur.

My Alpha Flight Yoke configuration in MSFS24 had conflicts for the 'Cockpit/External Views. After rectifying & resuming in the program, the Shift+C appeared with the 'Enter Aircraft' selection & worked as expected.

Doesn't explain why my set-up worked with the native Cessna 172 Skyhawk mentioned in thread 2 & not the Warrior, so I will continue to keep an eye out for any re-occurrence.

I believe the 'TAKE CONTROL OF CHARACTER' control assignment is only mapped on the default "Keyboard 2024 Transversal" preset. So, for example, if you have a custom preset set up for the PA28s, or if you're using the "Keyboard 2020 Transversal" preset, then the 'TAKE CONTROL OF CHARACTER' control assignment may need to be manually assigned.

Control assignments can quickly get confusing in MSFS 2024 with the ability to have different presets between aircraft.
