Vickers VC10 for MSFS
-
It may have already been considered, but I would love to see an updated take on the VC10 for MSFS.
I know Just Flight produced a VC10 for the previous generation of flight sims, so I know I'm preaching to the choir about variation and liveries etc, but I think it would be a colourful addition to the current generation of simulators. A VC10 made to the standard of current JF products would be a thing of beauty.
On the one hand, the VC10 is something of a niche type, but on the other hand, it would be something different in a marketplace filled with Boeings and Airbuses, and I may be wrong, but I don't think there are many other jetliners available in the marketplace from that time period.

I concur. I’m desperately waiting for them to port their VC10 to MSFS! I love that plane.

Sorry for necro-posting, but I just visited the forum to ask the same question!
For me, the VC-10 is the most missed aircraft in the present generation of sims, having flown the wings off it in FS9, FSX, and P3D, the last two sims of course using the wonderful JF version.
There seems to be a dearth of British civil aircraft in the present sims - it would be nice to see any of them, but to me the VC-10 was the flagship. It was such a beautiful aircraft. Especially in the BOAC or BCAL liveries. I remember being a young kid, standing on the observation deck at CYYZ in the late 60's, waiting to board for our annual trip across the pond to visit "the family". Directly in front of us was a VC-10 and a 707 from BOAC, a Mexicana DC-9 that was utterly filthy, and a Pan Am 707. I was hoping and praying we'd get the VC-10... but sadly got shuffled into the 707 instead. I actually mentioned to the flight attendant that I'd been hoping for the VC...
About an hour after take off, she returned and asked my Mum if it was all right for me to visit the cockpit, as the Captain would like to see me! After being ushered into the hallowed hall of the "office" - the guy in the left seat started asking me why I wanted the VC over the 707... after stating my case, he replied "Me too!" I actually got to sit on the jump seat for the rest of the flight, taking on the role of "char wallah" for the crew up front. Oh, so many happy memories of a much simpler time... To this day I can't get over how well these 3 "gods" treated an airplane crazy kid. We talked airplanes the entire flight, the engineer took me over his panel in minute detail. I was so excited I never even thought of getting sleepy as we headed over the Atlantic in the growing darkness.
I know the VC-10 usually had a 4 man crew, but for unknown reasons, this flight only had 3, at least it did in my memory!... Later in in life I often wondered where the Navigator was... I guess the Captain was doing the navigation that night!
Just past Newfoundland, the Captain told me to look over the First Officer's shoulder and to look up... the VC-10 was passing us, several thousand feet higher, and looking just gorgeous in the fading light...
At Heathrow, I was finally reunited with my Mum, and as we were exiting the aircraft, the Flight attendant handed me a box... it was all the uneaten chocolates left over from the flight. She reminded me not to eat them all at once

Needless to say, the absolute best flight I ever had. I never got to fly in a VC-10. What's that they say about "unrequited love" ?
Sigh... so C'mon JF, you know you need to do this! Please!
