    This is the Avro RJ section of the forum, for MSFS.

    @Orlaam

    Mine will randomly flash and state "traffic traffic" for no reason and then a little yellow advisory will flash every few seconds for the rest of the flight.

    I've never had that. I'm running 2020 only and FSLTL with the injector. Are you online (i.e., Vatsim)? I do get bogus TCAS alerts in the Fenix A320 family rarely, but they do happen. Spurious, but false, TCAS alerts happen in real life too. Short of developer input, I would start scaling back add-ons and see what happens. I literally only use fs2ff.exe for ForeFlight connection and FSLTL. I have Gees free version and it doesn't seem to interfere with anything. I use the TM Boeing Yoke and TM thrust lever setup.

    I often feel like some of these problems are 3rd party interactions. Worth a try. IDK, MSFS2020 has been a lot buggier than previous versions IMO. I uninstalled the PMDG 737 suite cause it just has too many problems for me. Other people say it works fine. I have a lot of issues with the iniBuilds A300 too, but that seems to be ubiquitous among users. My problem free add-ons are Black Square, Fenix, iFly MAX (rare bugs), JF Avro, A2A Comanche, and FlightFX HondaJet. I don't care much for the last two, but they seem bug free.

    Doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

    My setup is very basic. MSFS2020 RJ/BAe/PMDG/Fenix. Better pushback (which doesnt work with the RJ). A few airport pairs. Only online via MSFS2020 multiplayer with fake traffic turned off. Its been re-installed a few times but realistically that shouldnt be how it works moving forward.

    Was flying over Russia at FL310 and the only other plane was FL370 777 a long way off (not close enough to ever set off a TCAS advisory or resolution). Then TRAFFIC TRAFFIC and little yellow flash for the rest of the flight on the TCAS display. Cant remember if turning the TCAS off fixed anything. There have been other instances.

    Going to retire the RJ until a few more patches have been issued. There are a number of software bugs that make it unplayable and the forum is filled with "we cant reproduce this" from the developers end. The BAe got better with time and why be frustrated when the Fenix works so well?

    I was jinxed by this post, lol. So last night after some time away from the sim I experienced this flashing TCAS issue. It seemed to happen as I was leveling off at FL250. Nothing did remove the phenomenon (e.g., TCAS test, switching modes). However, once I started to descend the problem went away. So it was only present at CRZ. I captured the bug so the developers can see how it presents. This was in 2020, and I do not have 2024 installed or anything. See above for my typical add-ons (FSLTL with injector, ForeFlight client executable). Closing those two apps did not fix the problem.

    Thanks for the info and video, this is the first time that I've seen the issue but I suspect it was caused by changes that we made to the TCAS logic for MSFS 2024 compatibility. We'll confirm that, and revert the MSFS 2020 version to the original TCAS logic if so.

    image.png Looks like the TCAS gauge was a culprite in a recent WASM crash for me. Was working up until that point; then pretty much half the plane froze, unfortunately.
