Noticed since the 1.3 update in 2024, the autopilot vnav is intermittently doing a very zig zaggy S curve when transfering from one way point to another, have had to put it in HDG mode multiple times to and then activate direct to in order to stop it.

The aircraft is also appearing to do a gentle slip into the wind by lowering the upwind wing, while doing a gentle crab to maintain track, but that may be the same as before and maybe i am just noticing the wing dip for the first time or something.

There have been no intentional changes to the autopilot logic in v1.3 so the behaviour should be the same as it has been in previous builds. If this behaviour persists, could I kindly ask you to record a video of it and then raise a ticket with Just Flight support at the following link: https://www.justflight.com/support

Absolutely @Mark do you think this maybe just caused by the ingame winds or turbulence sitting (i have it on low) but both flights i did that day the sim weather was just wrong it seems like, 40 knot winds at surface level, when real metar said about 4 knots. Would the in sim weather cause some issues with the autopilot tracking?

The wind could definitely be a factor, especially if there are strong winds and waypoints are close together. It's a tricky one to say for certain until we can replicate the same behaviour on our side though.

Gotcha, will try to see if i can reproduce it, it sounds like most likely its the external conditions though if nothing has been changed, especially with how wonky the new sim is in general.

@Mark if this was a factor the real one would have probably never been certified.
46 kts of wind, yes. But enough to throw it off track? Dunno....
The plane not being able to cope is one thing but I am not sure if the F/D shouldn't still point in the direction of the track. Which it doesn't...

@Sergekoko it has no problem fighting 100 kts xwinds and staying on track during cruise though ...
