New Black Square products on Xbox?
-
@Black-Square Hmmm. Well, that's pretty awesome.
If you're rebuilding them for 2024, would it still be worth it to get them now? Or would you recommend waiting?
-
I think that would depend on what you're looking for, and how long you're willing to wait. I will not be releasing those products for MSFS 2024 for quite a number of months, but they will also contain significantly improved technology in almost every aspect of the aircraft, bringing them up to the standards of the Duke and TBM. This will demand a higher price-point compared to the original Steam Gauge Overhaul aircraft; however we will be offering significant discounts to those owners of the older aircraft. I'm happy to answer any other questions, but I hope that helps you make your decision!
-
@Black-Square Fair enough. I suppose I'll buy the 2020 versions anyway, because well, it's Black Square. ☺️
However, it sounds like the 2020 Analogs will be "backward compatible" to 2024, but you will also build native version alongside them in the future?
-
I'm flattered. Thank you. I'm actually writing an explanation of the MSFS 2024 situation right now, so I will share it with you too. What we can say for sure at this point is that addons compiled for MSFS 2024 will not work in MSFS 2020. From what I've seen, addons compiled for MSFS 2020 will work with some very minor edits, which I imagine someone will create an automated tool for at some point. The significant work is all on the developers, since we need to adhere to strict UI (screenshots, thumbnails, descriptions, translations) and package layout standards for Asobo. However, since you're asking about my Steam Gauge Overhaul aircraft, which rely on some default assets of their respective aircraft, I can't tell you exactly how they are going to behave in MSFS 2024 yet. While my focus will be on their new standalone replacements, I will definitely spend some time figuring out the easiest way to get the Steam Gauge Overhaul fleet up and running in MSFS 2024 too.

@Black-Square If you insist. 😉

Hi there! I just bought the Analog King Air from the marketplace on Xbox. My liveries don’t show up when I select the Blacksquare Kingair. I have two livery packs for the default Kingair. On the description of the Blacksquare Kingair it clearly says: “All default King Air liveries are compatible with this product”. And yes I have the Default Kingair installed. This needs an update ASAP.
-
@flyer232 "All DEFAULT King Air Liveries are compatible...."
Meaning Asobo Default Liveries, not those from 3rd Party livery packs.
-
This doesnt really makes sense to me. From what i understand all liveries working with the default Asobo King Air should also work with Black Squares King Air as they use the default Asobo exterior. They use the same model. Apart from that I don’t see the Default Asobo House Liveries for the Black Square King Air either. So there definitely needs to be done something, otherwise it’s a misleading/wrong Product description on the Marketplace.
-
I know that it is just a little detail on the description and I am really amazed by the King Air. It’s really a great Aircraft but in order to fully enjoy it I would like to use other liveries. The Black Square King Air itself comes with only 3.
-
BLACK SQUARE please allow for 3rd party liveries to be available for use on Xbox…I’ve waited a long long time for this aircraft…it would be great to have the liveries to go along with it‼️
-
If it’s not possible to use the default liveries as advertised, I would like to see a livery pack that actually works.
-
Could we get an acknowledgement from the team regarding this livery issue on Xbox?
-
@flyer232 There's no need to hijack threads. Creating a new one of your own will be better seen and acknowledged.
