    Hey all little question.
The MWS switch automaticly in the GND OP Mode (Red light on) on touchdown is this correct. In the 146 must switch it manual to kill the Warnings on ground.
    Regards Daniel.

The MWS GND OP switch is usually pulled before engine shutdown but can also be pulled while taxiing in after landing depending on the pilot's preferences and SOPs.

One thing to keep in mind is that the MWS GND OP switch should be pushed to the middle position before doing system checks such as the ground test panel to make sure that the attention getting is working.

The correct procedure is the pull the MWS GROUND OP switch as part of the shutdown procedure.

The original purpose of the dimming switch was to reduce heat and filament burnout on the MWS discovered during early a/c testing. With the switch pulled there are several red and amber cautions that won’t brighten. Why would you want to play to with the switch unnecessarily?
