Clanging background noise in cockpit
-
Hi,
I'm regularly noticing a clanging background noise while on the ground. It does not relate to aircraft movement, turning on any specific system or air flow.
In fact it sounds quite annyoing and I am unable to identify any rule when/where it occurs.
Any ideas?

This will be a tricky one to deduce without a video. A "clanging" noise suggests it could be the passenger boarding/deboarding audio, but it is difficult to say without a video.

Here you go:
The before flight the sound stops when closing doors, after landing it starts when reaching taxi speed.

@sg_aviation That's not something I can replicate on my end, but it possibly sounds like the audio you would hear if you taxied the aircraft on dirt or gravel, etc.
Do you perhaps have FS Realistic installed? As I believe certain settings have caused similar issues in other aircraft.

No FS Realistic and no GSX installed, plus it relates to aircraft specific actions.

@Mark Here's more details about how to reproduce:
Departure
- Load flight
- Select "Turnaround" state from EFB
- Sound appears
- Set EXT AC to OFF or Close FWD PAX DOOR from EFB
- Sound disappears
- Set EXT AC to ON or Open FWD PAX DOOR from EFB
- No sound appears!
Arrival
- Land aircraft
- Decelerate below 15 kt
- Sound appears
- Connect Ground Power & APU
- Set EXT AC or APU to OFF
- Sound disappears
- Set EXT AC or APU to ON
- No sound appears!
This indicates a bug, since I cannot imagine any situation where such sound could appear in line with the actions described. While the sound may be similar to ground roll rumbling, it can also be a clacing induced by air vent/flow or similar - in the end it's up to you to define the sound origin, since there is no other source like FS Realistic etc.
