Licence Error after moving file location

I have seen posts stating that products can be installed to custom locations, or moved there so that MSFS Addons Linker can be used. However, I find that both the 146 and RJ cannot be moved from the community folder, doing so results in a licence error and the plane is unusable. Is there a workaround for this? A registry location for the licence or something? It would be preferable if we could install to a custom folder in the first place.
