GSX hung error.
-
Thank you for the feedback! I will pass the kind words onto the rest of the team.
With regards to GSX hanging, it's not something I am able to produce on my side. I actually just completed a flight in the RJ85 using GSX boarding and refuelling without any problems.
As a first step, I would recommend making sure GSX is fully up to date and see if that resolves the issue.
We also have the following FAQ covering the GSX boarding/refuelling logic which may be useful: https://support.justflight.com/en/support/solutions/articles/17000142827-gsx-boarding-logic-explained

I was now able to recreate this bug. It came out of my own stupidity, but I might as well report how it happens. On a turnaround I mistakenly requested boarding from GSX before reloading the next flight's OFP. This lead to GSX having a bit of a fit and me not being able to import the actual weights and payload for the next flight since the tablet doesn't have a ''reset all' button.
-
Second this, just had this myself during turnaround. Came across another issue with GSX which caused it to hang which was requesting a Jetway followed by boarding, not sure if anyone else has had anything similar, jetway connection was selected in the EFB.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. If I may, I have a few questions I'd like to ask just so the development team can narrow down their troubleshooting:
- Is the installed version of GSX fully up to date?
- Can you confirm if the issue occurs when following the procedure listed in our GSX Boarding Logic Explained FAQ?
If the answer to both of the above questions is yes...
- Does the issue only occur during turnarounds (i.e. at the start of the second flight of a session without returning to the main menu), or does this occur on the first flight of the session too?
- Does this issue occur when requesting boarding through the GSX menu, or only when requesting a jetway through the GSX menu?

GSX released an update overnight, still has not fixed it from hanging and crashing, couple other points of note:
-
When loading into the sim, operating the jetway first, setting up and then requesting boarding the jetway will disconnect, reset, then reconnect during the boarding/deboarding process.
-
When requesting boarding/deboarding through the GSX menu all the doors open including the left aft even if within the airplane profile this option is not ticked.

Exact same issue just happened to me. Fresh up-to-date install of GSX, current version of RJ.
- Loaded OFP
- Used GSX to "toggle jetway"
- Instant loaded OFP fuel load on EFB
- Selected "Jetway" for gate type in EFB
- Chose "Request Boarding" in GSX menu bar. Confirmed audible "Boarding Requested". Sim Hung.

It happened again, even without using the auto GSX option (I manually used GSX this time). When the pushback tug released the plane, I couldn't click on anything in the cockpit with my mouse, even though the sim didn’t freeze like before. If it happens again, I’ll try to pinpoint exactly what’s going on. It’s frustrating, as I haven’t been able to complete a proper flight yet.

I also get this error. I was able to fly 4 sectors successfully yesterday by this procedure:
- If any GSX Services active, let them finish
- Load Simbrief plan in the EFB and import into the aircraft page
- Reload Simbrief plan in the gsx menu
- Refuel via GSX, start in aircraft Page only when truck is fully positioned and coupled
- Load passengers via GSX (this is where it usually gets stuck)
- Depart
- Arrive, deboard
- Return to step 1
Maybe it helps until the patch is out.

If the issue occurs without the GSX handling option enabled on the EFB tablet aircraft page then that'd suggest an issue with GSX and/or the custom profiles, rather than any issue with the RJ itself. We'll try to reproduce the issue and confirm that though.
