Was I dreaming that I saw someone on YT have the map display where the weather radar normally is? I'm trying to turn it on and it's not working. I looked in the Manual and cannot find what I'm doing wrong. Could someone help me please?

NVM - though it was working in the -300 and not the -100 for some reason. Weird!

The weather radar's logic is shared across all of the 146 variants, so you should see the same behaviour regardless of the variant selected.

A map showing airports around the aircraft's present position can be displayed on the weather radar by pressing the "MAP" button above the weather radar screen.

@Mark I've noticed with the weather radar in two flights now and a friend has had it happen to them as well that if you turn the weather radar to off, you cannon turn it (back) on. The screen will just stay blank, and yeah everything was on prior to that and it was working fine.

          Edit: wait, two friends.

@Melon I have just had a look and this isn't something I am able to reproduce on a short test flight. It's not something I have seen previously either (but I don't think I've ever turned the weather radar off in flight before).

Do you recall the procedure you used to turn it off/on? Was it ON > OFF > STBY > ON, or were any other pages opened during the process? Also, did this occur at the start, middle, or end of the flight?

@Mark This is at the end of the flight I just completed, right as I turned into the terminal. Only thing I've done is turn the engines off, all the Master Switches and Radios are still on, and the APU as well.

I just tried to see if I could replicate what happened to me last night as well at the start of a flight but it didn't want to do it this time. What ever causes it seems to be pretty intermittent, at least for me. Thinking on it, one of the times where it may have not wanted to start for me was probably a second leg flight, but the one last night was a fresh one. I know one of my friends has had it not want to start on fresh flights multiple times now.

@Melon Thanks for letting us know. It's always tricky to track down a bug that is intermittent like this and doesn't have any obvious steps to reproduce, but we've logged this on our internal bugs tracker to investigate further.

@Melon I am, at this precise moment, having this happen to me again, this time in the -200. I was able to complete a flight yesterday in the -300. I don't know what circumstance/s may cause this intermittent issue.

I've also just started experiencing the Radar not turning on with PC with the 146 and F28. For each aircraft I do have power and avionics turned on. The Radar is set to Map, but nothing displays on the screen.

Its amazing that Just Flight is having a hard time reproducing this bug.
Out of 10 flights, the weather radar works for me only once or twice.
Very frustrating to be flying into heavy weather and not having the weather radar working.

We can reproduce the issue, but the difficulty comes with finding a specific set of steps to reliably reproduce it. it is something we have looked into and is something we would like to get fixed, but without a reliable way of reproducing it, it can quickly turn into a very time-consuming task with little rewards.
