Does Traffic Global work with P3D v5

Hello, I've got Traffic Global for XP11 and am very happy with it. I've recently got P3D v5 and am using it more than XP because of better performance even with Vulcan enabled. I was about to buy TG for P3D v5 but have noticed a few posts here saying it doesnt work in that it fails to compile the flights in v5. I see there was a fix but a user says that doesnt work either and the developer hasn't replied. Does it work in v5 yet before I splash out? Thanks.

It still does not work. I tried it again today. And its also does not fully recognize v5 I guess thats also why it does not compile. I hope the dev. will provide some feedback soon :)

Thanks, the Devs don't seem to check here much, I'll not buy this one yet. If it doesn't work in P3Dv5 they should at least make that fact clear in the requirements.

I have not updated TG yet to the latest, been on other things and I have not installed P3Dv5, I always wait till the third party Devs get a chance to look at it.

Sorry for the delay. I've fixed the problem that was causing the compile to hang. However, I've noticed that the TG compiler isn't producing a full size bgl for v5 due to the new format of aircraft files. As such I've pulled the V5 compatibility from the product page whilst I work on a solution.

That's a pity, I'm missing the traffic, get bored at airports but at least we know where we are. Thanks for the update and stay safe.

Hi Rich, Re your previous post above, I am eager to ascertain if you have a timeline for when you will have a solution for TG for p3dv5 where the compile is hanging for a long period of time. thanks

I'm also having this error when compiling traffic.
I've just bought this plugin to be used with P3D v5 and disappointed to see I can't use it.

Sorry but the only news currently is that it's still being worked on but as yet not figured out so no v5 compatibility just yet. Apologies.

I've just made the jump from FSX to P3D v5 and am too eagerly awaiting a fix, for this. :slightly_smiling_face:

@Rich Thanks Rich. Please also take into account the new airports added by default in P3Dv5. Doha (OTHH) for example.

Only installed P3Dv5 today most of my ORBX scenery installed but no addon airports yet will start on them today, but I did get TG in with a twist I still have P3Dv4,5 installed on another SSD drive using addon organiser I linked 4,5 TG to V5 you see the default EGCC in the shot.

@Ray-Fry Thanks for the tip, but sadly I don't have any p3d versions lower than v5. So I am still waiting for the dev to fix the issue.

It would be a big plus for JF if they can get TG Compatible with P3DV5, it`s not going to be easy the update has made V5 very picky with adding scenery not as easy as 4.5., it could boost sales though if they can pull it off.

@Rich I'm still not able to compile Cargo traffic, is there anything I should be checking in the config files or something to find a solution for no compile into P3Dv5 please?

Hi Simon,
Are you able to compile cargo flights on their own? I.e. untick the GA and main flight plans options.

@Rich No Rich, I can't get it to compile cargo at all, I just get app not responding and no disk activity for the cargo compile whatsoever.
