How to Uninstall V2
-
I currently have V2 installed. I have the UNS-1 option as well. I have been creating flight plans in Simbrief and have been exporting them successfully, i.e. they appear in the ...justflight-aircraft-146\work\JustFlight\FlightPlans folder. However the flight plans don't appear when I open the UNS-1 "COPY PLT RTE" page. That page is empty, there are no flight plans there. I have been reading pages 21 to 23 of the UNS-1 FMS Operations Manual but seem to be missing something. Am I? I can confirm the flight plans are in the .RTE format.
I should also point out that the "FlightPlans" folder was missing when I first downloaded and installed V2. I had to create that folder and it now sits in the "JustFlight" folder along side the "navdata" folder.
Because I considered there was something amiss, I decided to uninstall V2 and start again. When I go into "Programs and Features" in order to uninstall "146 Professional MSFS" I get the following warning;
"The setup has detected that version 1.02.000 of 146 Professional MSFS is already installed.
This version installs an earlier version of 146 Professional MSFS (0.1.10)
You have to uninstall previous version before installing this version"I am unable to uninstall it.
I guess I have three questions;
- Should it have been necessary to create a "FlightPlans" folder?
- Is there some reason why there are no flight plans when I click on "COPY PLT RTE" of the UNS-1 unit, despite several flight plans being in the FlightPlans folder?
- How do I uninstall V2 of the 146 in order to reinstall it?
Thank you.

@Bruce-R To answer each of your questions:
1/2. The 'FlightPlans' folder should be automatically created the first time you load a flight in the 146 after the V2 update. We became aware after the release of the Version 2 update that this file path is slightly different for users who purchased MSFS on Microsoft Store versus Steam and we will be updating the manual to reflect this in the next update to the 146. In the meantime, we have the following FAQ which has the correct file paths listed for the Microsoft Store and Steam versions of MSFS: https://support.justflight.com/support/solutions/articles/17000139849-uns-1-how-can-i-import-a-flight-plan-from-simbrief-
Once the flight plans have been stored in the correct folder and in an .RTE format, they will automatically appear on the COPY PLT RTE page of the UNS-1.
- If you downloaded the 146 Professional Version 2 update in the first hour or so after it was released, there was an issue with the installer that caused an error message to appear when attempting to uninstall the 146 through Apps and Features. This was quickly resolved after a few hours of release so any downloads of the V2 update after that time will not have this error.
If you are experiencing this error, we would recommend downloading the latest version of the 146 Professional (v0.2.0b) from your account on JustFlight.com and then running the installer. Once launched, the installer will provide several options such as 'uninstall' or 'repair'. Selecting the 'uninstall' option will allow you to uninstall the product without an error message, and the next time you install the product you will no longer receive an error message when uninstalling through Apps and Features.
I hope that helps.

Thank you Mark. You certainly have helped me out here.
First of all, the FlightPlans folder. The location was the problem. The SimBrief Downloader stated path to the FlightPlans folder was wrong. It was headed out to the LocalCache/Packages/Community/justflight-aircraft-146/..., instead of the LocalState. I'm not sure how that happened. I have a suspicion it was a default path because I don't recall entering the path in the SimBrief Downloader. I've now changed it to the correct path and flight plans are now showing up in the UNS-1. Incidentally, you have the correct Microsoft store version path to the FlightPlans folder quoted in the UNS-1 FMS Ops Manual at page 22.
I have now downloaded "2b" and get the option to uninstall.
All's well now. Thank you again for your help.
