Plenty of pictures ahead - apologies for a long post.

The UNS-1 has a very neat holding page with a user friendly illustration. It even changes for a left hand hold. I noticed however, that the FIX and INBD doesn't flip sides along with the illustration when changing to a left hand hold, so they are now on wrong sides. Tiny issue but wanted to let you know anyway.

Then there is how it flies the hold.
Got a tri-oval look on first attempt.

Then tried another higher/faster hold - things didn't improve!

Tried disabling real world weather to remove influence of wind, and adjusting speed try and match what it appears to be aiming for? This finally resulted in an okay hold.

Proceeded to yet another hold at tgt/altitude and turned real life weather back on. Got another tri-oval. So looks like perhaps it really can't deal with wind currently?

Now I don't expect it to fly holds as perfectly beautiful as a modern RF-capable unit! But I am sure it could be improved a bit, especially as it does seem to be able to quite consistently fly the same track - it is just not in the intended shape.
In the current state I think I will have to fly holds manually when online to avoid controllers asking if I am drunk 😃

@Avionic Thank you for reporting these. We have logged your feedback with the UNS-1's development team for them to investigate.

Just to note with the general shape of holding patterns, the 146 doesn't have an auto throttle so if the holding patterns aren't flown at a constant speed and throttle setting throughout they may not end up being perfectly symmetrical. Once wind is added into the equation, speed and throttle position will also need to be adjusted at each end of the holding pattern to maintain a perfectly symmetrical holding pattern, which realistically speaking, isn't likely to be possible unless the aircraft has additional levels of automation (like an autothrottle). We do suspect the UNS-1 could be flying holding patterns better than it currently does though, so we'll get our development team to look into this.

I was going to report this myself actually, but I had to enter the hold at Dublin today, flown at constant IAS - I had set it for 1 minute inbound but it was nowhere near that, and was pretty messy (see my Volanta record below) - was very windy today, admittedly, but I still think the real UNS could do it better than it is currently.
No criticism meant, by the way; I'm getting a lot of enjoyment out of the v2 146.
