How to program the GPS 100

Haven't You found the Garmin Manual ? (Google)

I cannot figure out how to input anything into the GPS100. I'd like to input a flight plan and test out this super cool early GPS unit, but the manual doesn't say how, and nothing I can do can get it into a data entry mode. Anyone can help?
@jonah9000 Unfortunately flight plans cannot be manually inputted into the GPS100 in our PA28s, however, the unit will display information based on the aircraft's present position and will also display flight plan information if a flight plan has been created in the MSFS main menu.

The GPS100 is something we would like to improve in the PA28s, but it just has never got to the top of our priority list. It's not in the works at the moment but hopefully, one day we will be able to increase its level of functionality.

maybe an open-source approach could make sense?

Hmm the integration of the GPS 100 is still causes a bit of confusion. I'm in MSFS 2024 Even after creating the flight plan on the world map, it will only navigate to the first waypoint. After that it continuously tracks away from it, instead of to the next waypoint. The only way I've been able to change the navigation mid flight, is by using the PMS50 750 plugin to do a direct to to the next waypoint and then GPS100 will update. But this method defeats the purpose of the GPS100.
