After I've loaded a msfs flight plan, and the aircraft is at the gate in a cold state, I am trying to use the EFB's TO mode without success. Part of the start up procedure fails, leaving oil pressure and a few other events warning lights in a RED state. From here, no matter what I do, the aicraft will not come to a fully start state.
At this point, I am not referring to trying to manually start the aircraft. I am simply trying to use the EFB's TO mode for my start up.

@flyforever I have just tested the 'READY FOR TO' function when starting cold and dark at a gate and it's working correctly on my end.

How long are you waiting for the aircraft to start up? The startup process won't complete instantly, especially if the aircraft is in a completely cold and dark state with the APU shutdown, as it has to run through the process of starting the APU, followed by each of the engines. This process usually takes about a minute.

Are there any part of the startup process where it looks like it is getting stuck? I.e. has the APU started? Or, are the engines spooling up to a certain point and then getting stuck? If one of these is the case, then you may have a control assignment conflict that is preventing the APU or engines from starting.

If the APU is not starting, check to make sure the following control assignments are not causing a conflict:

      APU STARTER
      APU OFF

If the engines are getting stuck at a certain point, check the following control assignments:

      TOGGLE ENGINE 1 FUEL VALVE
      TOGGLE ENGINE 2 FUEL VALVE
      SET ENGINE 1 FUEL VALVE
      SET ENGINE 2 FUEL VALVE
      SET STARTER 1
      SET STARTER 2

      I hope that helps.

How does the "save state" interact? I will spend more time with the aircraft and study it more carefully. tks

There a few differnt types of state saving in our aircraft.

Firstly we have "State Saving" which is an option that can be toggled on or off on the EFB. With this option enabled, the aircraft will save the state that it is in at the end of a flight and it will load back in with that state the next time you load into the aircraft. This means that all the switch positions, fuel levels, etc should be in the exact same positions as they were left in at the end of the previous flight.

Then we have "Aircraft States" which allow you to load the aircraft in one of the three states: Cold & Dark (aircraft fully shut down), Turnaround (aircraft at a gate with GPU connected and supplying electrical power), and Ready For Takeoff (aircraft configured in a takeoff state).

We do have a dedicated EFB manual available to download via the following link if you would like to read more about state saving or any of the other functions on the EFB: https://downloads.justflight.com/products/JFF003039/F28_Professional_MSFS_Manuals.zip

          Hope that helps.
