Please Bring The Vulcan To DCS... Pleassse!

@Pilot-Pyles come on... it will be used on every map + DCS is going 'world wide'.
-
@Pilot-Pyles one could tank... act as a tanker and drop things that will go bang.

I used to run a Tactical DCS server of 8k people - it's just not something people really scream for, there is no way 50% would be buying it.
So they would buy it in a sim where they can't use it as it was intended, but not in a sim where they can... yea that makes sense... not.
End of the day it's about supporting the product, the manufacturer and the community... no matter what they fly or on what.

@ballooningrich A whole world map? Yeah, any day now...
-
@ballooningrich Most maps are simply too small, any hint of an enemy and you'll be blotted out of the sky in seconds.
-
@ballooningrich The former is something practically no-one will want to do, and the latter is a done by practically everything.
Don't get me wrong, it'd be great to see it in DCS but personally I can't see the case for it.

@Pilot-Pyles JF is in business to make money not provide us with useful and pratical aircraft.
You can't use the only time and place it was used in combat as an excuse not to have it or it can only be used on the SA map.
The B2 ended up being used at low level. In DCS it could be used at any level especially at low.
As I said (and you prob know if you're still into DCS)... it's going global, all be it not all to the same level in areas.
Even ORBX are getting in on DCS with a map that will actually work really well.
Why did you buy it... Why did anyone buy it... for the same reason DCS users will.
For JF it's about £$€... will it sell... yes corse it will... but will it make a profit? Without a doubt yes, and that's why their in this.
How you, I, and everyone else uses it isn't the point... it's about the aircraft, no matter where it is.
We can counter argue each other all night/day... it achieves nothing.
I posted to support the product. I worked with the Vulcan for a good few years 'operationally' during the Cold War and unless one has actually been around the actual aircraft in that environment you can't know how good a job JF has done. I think I said before... it took me back 44 years... so yea I support it as it is in MSFS but in DCS it will really fulfil its fill potential and will sell... and make JF a profit.
Just Flight
If you haven't already...
Please do some research... crunch the numbers... speak with ED.If it's a total non starter... please delete this post.

If JF doesn't need another £2.7m - £6m in sales then... yea... don't bother... but... in business terms (initially) the numbers must add up.
Two weeks additional sales revenue would be very welcome. However, having investigated DCS over the years we have come to the conclusion that porting aircraft over to it is not financially viable for us. We'd be happy to licence it out to a DCS developer to make the £6m but, despite much discussion over the years, none of the ones we have spoken to have been that excited about taking on the Hawk, Tornado, Canberra or, indeed, the Vulcan.
As to the 50% of 200K users, the rule of thumb conversion rate for add-ons to host sim is about 10%. If a title sells for £28, the net is going to be considerably less once you take into account VAT, the platform holders' share and the vendor (Steam).
We are always open to working in DCS - we have made content for CFS, Il-2 and even published our own combat jet game, but we don't have the staffing capacity to build DCS add-ons from scratch and, as partnering seems impossible (unlike with X-Plane and Aerofly), we will just have to stick to MSFS and X-Plane for the moment.
NB that, in real life, very few Vulcans operated 'as intended' - ie, dropped bombs - most flew from place to place taking part in exercises, keeping their crews trained up (in case bombs ever had to be dropped) and doing displays etc.

@Derek I'm not going to drag this on as you have made the companies position clear, and I thank you for that.
I totally get a road down the DCS route would be a huge let alone resources.
Anyway... you've done a superb job and knocked it right out the park in every respect.
Thanks again for your prompt response.
