Wingspan options

Can someone explain what the wingspan options mean, There are three setting, real world values, compatibility mode low and compatibility mode high. I dont know what these settings do,its not explained that well. Thanks

Basically to best explain it each aircraft has a wingspan size so for example the A380 is huge, in the sim Parking spots have a maximum size depending on the gate type (so an A380 couldn't park in a small airport), however the majority of airports in MSFS dont have accurate gate sizes (in FSX/P3D you had AFD files which could be edited to correct this).
The options allow you to have the A380 for example be given a smaller value on the wingspan thus allowing it to park in a smaller gate so more likely to show up at airports.
I assume the low or high compatibility mode is a variance of how much it will change.
