When conducting a flight director ILS capture according to the diagram in the aircraft manual (level off and ALT HOLD at capture altitude, VOR/LOC until established on the localizer, then GS AUTO) the flight director will either show a constant descent that is far too shallow to properly follow glide slope or too steep and will result in a CFIT long before the runway threshold, its indications will not lead to maintaining glide slope and instead result in deviations as written above. It happens at different airports and in different conditions. Sometimes, for reasons unknown to me, it works correctly, sometimes recycling the FD to OFF and back to GS will help, but in most situations it's as outlined. It happens both with G/S AUTO and G/S MAN modes

@flying_mandau EDIT: After some test flights I've noticed that if the autopilot is on and has captured the glide slope, the flight director suddenly indicates correctly. More so, it will indicate correctly even if you disengage the AP and start another approach until you start a new flight

@flying_mandau EDIT2: After some more testing, I can testify the FD in G/S mode is unusable and indicates fixed pitch if the autopilot is not in BEAM and GLIDE at the same time. It happens every time at every airport. This hampers how I can enjoy this otherwise beautiful aircraft. Dear JF, I love your work, please help

@derek I have opened the ticket number #75082

However I've seen support questions being answered here, so this is where I've written, is it the wrong place to ask questions like this?

We don't really do forum support - developers will look at the forum from time to time and maybe get involved in discussions, but if you want an answer - and especially if it is a problem that may not affect every user - you are always best off talking to support.
