    HI, yes the switch on the RMI is not clear in the manual, it says turn ADF to the instrument ring, but it isn't clear ,the inside or outside ring of the RMI
    Also the tuning scale on the selector panel is very poor.

    @28guns those old analog radios. I turn on the BFO and watch for the needle because it can be hard to hear the radios, BUT tonight I will try the headphone simulation as @martyn suggested on another topic and see if so can hear the identifier.

      I still can't get the ADF to work, if i switch the radios on I can tune a nearby NDB , and see the needle on the RMI point at the beacon but when I start the engines the Needle reverts to the 3 0clock postion .

        @28guns
        I have tried everything with the ADF radios, they don't work.
        which for an aircraft that depends on Radio navigation is dissapointing.

          @28guns I also tried it and it's no chance... I can't tune ADF/NDB even when I'm 3 nm away from it on landing LKPR NDB L 372 just can't tune it. NSBs on the route are a dream.

            I have managed to use ADF ok once you get the freq set correctly.

            Example below is BIA near EGHH on 339

              acording to the manual the picture above shows you are set to a VOR the switch on the RMI . also dme 1 is light is on so that is a VOR.

                @woolies We need some clarification from the devs on the operation of the ADF< the manual is very sketchy.

                  Nope, it is the BIA NDB. Switch is with ADF facing the RMI ... 100%

                  I did also have a VOR (SAM 113.35) active and could toggle between the 2 with th VOR / ADF switch on the RMI

                    Another pic with the NDB on the double arrow with different switch position. Can also hear the morse of the NDB. So seems to work fine. The thing is just getting the freq set correctly which is fiddly.

                      @woolies ok, I will give it another go thanks.
                      i think part of the problem is the poor tunning on the selector.

                        The old school ADF controllers are not that well suited to MSFS. The simulator also doesn't support ADF tuning very realistically, you need to have the frequency tuned exactly before any signal is picked up. At the moment the tooltip on the tuning knob is pretty essential for tuning it accurately.

                            if you have flow pro you can set up a simvar viewer for the ADF frequencies

                              Hope we get a tooltip view for ADF only in the future? Maybe option to replace the strength indicator with digits? With BFO selected?
