Is it possible to give a numerical value for the different failure rates?

For instance, does "High" give you a failure every hour?
Does "Real" give a failure every 50 hours?

Trying to determine what setting to use, I fly for a VA and I don't want too many failures resulting in diversions.

    Thanks for the great update!

@lancealotg i think random failures aren't actually implemented (atm?)
I tinkered with it quite a bit Yesterday. In high i didn't get any over the course of three hours or so. Then again it's hard to say how the mbtf is altered by changing the rate without knowing the multipier behind it.
Also it wasn't possible to purposedly fail the engines. Had them running at full throttle for like 10 minutes while sitting at the gate. Random failures we're enabled.
The plane is great but the failures system is pretty useless atm. Sad, because i would have Loved the need for carefully managing engines during the more critical flight phases...

      Have q nice saturday

I currently have my failures set to real and no failures for me yet.
Not sure if failures are actually working but it does keep me on my toes during a flight looking at all my instruments trying to spot a possible issue in case a failure is injected by Just flight.
        Good stuff

@lancealotg yes, thats exacetly the reason why i Like (random!) failures mechanics...IF they are there...I will also Go with high, lets see if anything happens. But maybe a dev or someone who knows could ellaborate?

I dont want to brag too much about it, because simmers can tend to be quite a pain in the rear for their developers, and it's not different on this forum, but then again: If it's been advertised...

          Regards

I think it´s fair to assume that the failure mechanics are (at least to some degree)are not in place.
I ran an engine stress test at 60 deg OAT and full rated thrust. It gave me an TGT of 999 and N2 of 120%. Plane didn´t care though. I stopped the run up after 20 minutes...

I just received a reply from support regarding my original question.

The failure rates in the 146 are:

REAL: a failure every 25 hours to 50 hours.
LOW: a failure every 5 hours to 15 hours.
MID: a failure every 2 hours to 5 hours
HIGH: a failure every 30mins to 2 hours

@lancealotg well. i am at roughly 30 hrs flying @ high with no failures whatsoever. Have you had any, so far??

                  @baeflyer
                  Well, that is most distressing.
I have not had any failures but I had my failures set at real.
I will be changing it to mid and see what happens.
