Importing models and Liveries from other sources

Re: missing aircraft from Schedules
Has anyone had success importing 3rd party models and liveries yet? I am unable to get any from FSLTL or AIG to appear in the sim. I have copied the Aircraft Folders from AIG and FSLTL into the Just Flight Fleet Aircraft Directory and then taken the titles and copied them into the aircraft manager in FS Traffic Control Centre.
Everything seems pretty straightforward, except none of them..... Except for an A300 FedEx plane from AIG (TFS A300_PW) has worked. And when I go back to look at the A300, it is an mdl format. Which should not work to my understanding.
If anyone has had success, please share what I am doing wrong, or if you figure out what needed to be "tweaked".....please share that as well.
Thank you!!

Yes, I have followed the instructions, and it seems pretty straightforward (which is very nice). However, when I say moving files around, I am moving FSLTL and AIG models and liveries from outside the community folder, to inside the community folder under the justflight-aircraft-traffic-fleet\simobjects\airpane directory. Then take the title name and enter it for the aircraft/livery as appropriate per the manual.
It has an impact. If I leave the mapping empty, I get the fallback aircraft (as advertised). However, I soon as I add the mapping to the title, I do not get any aircraft for that schedule entry. This leads me to believe FS Traffic does not like the AIG or FSLTL models. (And I have confirmed I am using models in the LOD format, not the mdl format)
Question1: in comparing the models, the Just flight models have LOD0, LOD1, LOD2, LOD 3 files whereas the AIG or FSLTL models seem to only have LOD0 and LOD3 files. Could this be the cause?
Question2: Or is it finding duplicate names on the title because it is finding files outside the community directory. (my assumption is it will only find files in the community directory) -

It shouldn't matter the source of the additional models that you wish to add. As long as the sim recognises them, FS Traffic will load them.
It will be the moving around of files that will be causing the problem.
Unless aircraft files have been exported through the package system, they will not be readable by the sim as they will not appear in the FS Traffic Fleet package manifest file. Because of that you cannot drop new files into a package and have them work in the sim.
All you need to do is have the original package containing the aircraft you wish to add to FS Traffic setup correctly according to the authors instructions, and then just add those titles to the FST control centre. -

Probably making a conflict. So that is sorted out. FSLTL models still puzzle me.

FSLTL models still puzzle me.After the answers given on this matter, it puzzles me why you still have a problem. As stated by Rich and me, the FSLTL package containing their aircraft fleet needs to be in the community folder as originally installed for use with FSLTL. To use their aircraft in FS Traffic, simply copy the livery title from the aircraft.cfg file and paste it into the FS Traffic Control Centre Aircraft Manager. FS Traffic will find it.
Do not add or delete package files. It is okay to change files within the package, such as the aircraft.cfg file if you know what you are doing.

Hi all,
I have both FSLTL and AIG models working through FS Traffic.
I have filled lots of the passenger aircraft liveries that FS Traffic currently does not offer with FSLTL liveries, and the same works where FS Traffic does not have the physical plane, i.e. I'm using FSLTL and AIG models and the respective liveries. This has enabled me to have lots of cargo traffic visible, plus a very important model for me, the Lufthansa A340-300 and A340-600 (both from AIG), which I was very keen to see in the Sim as I usually fly around Germany. See screenshots attached.
I agree with what has been said previously in this thread: Just install FSLTL and AIG as usual and don't copy anything into the FS Traffic library. This won't work because the aircraft libraries from FS Traffic, FSLTL and AIG are all a 'pack' with a layout.json file, i.e. you can't tear the packs apart, they must remain in their original shape. Once installed as usual, link the right aircraft titles in the FS Traffic aircraft manager. For me, this worked.
You don't have to install FSLTL and AIG into your community folder. If you use MSFS Addon Linker or a similar program, you can install them wherever you wish and then link them through MSFS Addon Linker. This works for me, too.
If you don't see any of the aircraft that you linked appear, it may can have different reasons. First, check you have installed FSLTL and AIG correctly. Second, check you have definitely copied the exact title of the aircraft as it is in the relevant aircraft.cfg. Don't include the quotation marks in the FS Traffic aircraft manager. Third, make sure the flight plan of the relevant airport actually has the airplanes that you want to see included in it. If not, you need to modify the flight plan, which is an easy thing to do. It's outlined in the manual. Fourth, you must obviously start your flight at a time where the aircraft you're hoping to see would be parked at the airport, according to the flight plan. It may help to set the timer in the FS Traffic options menu from 90 minutes to 180 minutes, this makes airports generally much busier. Fifth, and this is something that's difficult to remediate, AI aircraft sometimes don't spawn because the airport parking positions haven't been programmed well enough (i.e. aircraft radius too small - there are other threads on this in this forum, just search for 'radius').
Hope this helps, happy to elaborate.
