The .exe File takes a long time to install
-
I downloaded the new .exe update file at 6:10pm my time. I began the installation not too far afterward, and it's now 8:00pm as I type this, and the blue progress bar has only moved as far right as below the "u" in the word "requested", from the phrase, "FS Traffic MSFS Setup is performing the requested operations."
Is this normal? Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? In the original install, it took about 10 hours for the same .exe to complete the installation process. I'm hoping this one doesn't take as long.
In the meantime, is it okay to fly my simulator while waiting for the .exe to install, or best to leave the computer alone until it's done?
Thanks.

@b3_burner didn't have that experience. Ran on mine in just a matter of seconds. Did you try cancelling and redownloading the .exe maybe you got a corrupt download? Would also check and make sure nothing MSFS related is still running in the background.

First time around I cancelled and restarted (not redownloaded) the same download. It just started over again from the beginning and took even longer. It eventually completed, so I don't think the file is corrupt. It just took a very long time.
I will check to see if anything else is running in the background.

@b3_burner that doesn’t sound right and we don’t have anyone else reporting the same issue. Best send support a ticket to see if they can help you out.

Ok, I'll give that a try. Finding the support ticket area might take some searching, but I'll jump on it soon.
Oh, by the way, the install finished just under the 6-hour mark. I began around 6:12pm my time and it finished shortly before midnight. Yes, I don't think it should be this way either.
