Issue Since Today’s Update
-
I have installed the new Traffic update and created a flight plan EGHI-EGNS. My traffic spawn time was set to 60 minutes. Once in the game I set the destination via the tool bar.
I then jumped into the drone camera and had a look about the airport. Empty. No big deal, I thought. I would just sit around and wait for something to spawn in. One hour later nothing had spawned in and neither had any aircraft landed.
I closed down the sim and set the traffic spawn time to 90 minutes. I relaunched the game and set up the same flight plan.
This time one aircraft was there. I waited for about half an hour but no more aircraft spawned in or landed.
Not to be deterred I took off and followed my flight plan.
During the journey I heard Just one other aircraft speaking to ATC, which I found odd, considering I would be flying close to both Liverpool and Manchester airports.
On landing at EGNS there was no aircraft on the ground. Perhaps EGNS does not feature in JFTraffic flight plans.
I have no additional ground scenery add-ones installed other than third-party airports. I do not have GSX Pro (I don’t even know what that is).
I do have what may be a dumb question about traffic generation, but I’m going to ask it anyway:
When I launch into the game, say at 1500z, I understand JF Traffic will spawn in traffic at the gates according to the time in minutes set in the JF Traffic Control centre on my desktop (currently set at 90 minutes).
My question is - when the JF AI aircraft are loaded in at 1500, is it just a snapshot of traffic at 1500 and that’s the way it stays? What I mean is if I wait at the airport for one hour until 1600, will traffic that’s due to land or depart at, say, 1600 spawn in at 1600?
I’m not sure why I’m having these no-traffic issues after this update. Prior to it I had no perceived issues with traffic, either at departure, en route or at destination.

@bpfonteyn I have similar experience with the todays update:
Start a flight from EDDN to EDDF (Frankfurt, one of the busiest Airports in Europe) at 14:00 local time, so absolutely prime time and put in EDDF in the InGame panel.
EDDN: Despite i set the turnaorund to 90 minutes, according to Flight Plan Manager there should be round about 5 to 8 aircaft injecting... but there were only 2 (before the update there were at least four, which was not the amount regarding flight plan manger, but better than nothing). And don´t tell me again about sim objects limitation. I did a comparison flight with FSTLT and got 12 planes on the ground!
En Route: No difference to before the update.... The Sky shall be full of planes... only little are seen. And yes, i set the infecting time to 2 minutes.
EDDF: No Aircaft in the Air, No Aircaft approaching or taking off, No Aircraft taxiing or on the ground.
So as conclusion: There is not one single improvement with the update and the core functionalty is still not working or working as advertised. For me the chapter FSTraffic is now closed, as i have no time (and do not want to) to play the paying alpha-tester of an unfinisched not working product at all for such a high price. I will state out in a ticket my right to request a refund once again and hope i will get it. I will switch back to FSTLT, which is free and working everytime.

@five-birds
A very sad but true Post! This in my opinion all boils down to needing to work on XBOX, The additional app is not needed! I suspect come SU12 things will look different. -
Despite having issues on day one, I can now say that my experiences have been a lot better than before. After today's update I flew Manchester to Paris Beauvais-Tille and had plenty of aircraft at Manchester and was also pleased to see 5 aircraft at LFOB - even more so given that it is a tiny regional airport.
Things seem to be hit and miss for people - but I must admit I am starting to enjoy it. I know that won't help others who are still experiencing poor traffic amounts, but I can only speak for myself.
Two things that still persist though are the flights not leaving at their proper scheduled times and very few aircraft en-route.

@nick yeah better experience so far. I've done one flight from KEWR to KATL and had traffic at both airports and even multiple contrails enroute. That's further than I've gotten since my first flight on release day.
I think I messed it up though once I got to KATL I adjusted the time of day and traffic removed itself - I reset the destination and hit regenerate but nothing appeared other than planes air born above KATL moving outwards at the same speed and pace.
Currently enroute hoping that the spawning fixes itself on my next arrival - should know soon, fingers crossed. I think if I wouldn't have thrown a wrench at it we would still be ok though.

@qazme I get the fear every time I consider attempting to re-generate traffic or change the time en-route, or at the arrival airport, now - ever since I did it a couple of times on day one and everything just vanished! Like I say, maybe I am just getting lucky with my choice of airports and flight times now, but things are looking much better.
If the scheduled departures offset gets fixed I will be more content. Fingers crossed the guys at JF can figure that one out.

@nick yeah looks like for me - changing times messed it up. I saw no traffic enroute - I'm 60 miles out now and it has spawn 7 planes in the air destined to the same airport I'm going to but nothing on the ground so far. I'll reload after this and continue on testing - pretty sure it shouldn't work like this, however it was my fault I believe for letting it happen.
