F16 MFD buttons not working

I havent used the f16 Fighting falcon for some months before recently updating to latest release ver 0.8. The MFD buttons used to have tooltips when mouseover, showing function, like "toggle heading mode", "toggle auto throttle" etc. Now I only get tooltips like "btn 11", "btn 12" etc, which are not helpful at all. In addition the buttons do not work as described in the f16 manual.
Is this a known bug, or is there something wrong at my end? I have reinstalled the f16 addon, didnt help.
