Loud Cockpit
-
Just an observation, but to the ambient sound during cruise in the cockpit seems too loud, when compared to the volume of the rest of the plane.
If you move the camera to behind the engines or even the back of the plane, the ambient noise is pretty comfortable with a low hum of the engines. However then moving the camera into the cockpit and there's a pretty loud roar of noise that sounds like a window is open and the engines are right next to you.
Anyone else experience this and think if feels a little off? I'm not expert but shouldn't the engines sound less loud in the cockpit since you're so far away from them, and right behind the engines should be loudest?
Thanks for any feedback

@dresoccer4 Does the volume of the sound you are referring to vary with thrust changes? If not, it might be noise from the cockpit fans which were known for being particularly noisy.
Try switching them off on the upper right of the overhead panel. You could also try switching off the air conditioning packs.
You will also get more air noise in the cockpit

thanks for your response. I tried changing cockpit fan and packs, but didn't notice any sound difference at all in flight. I tried moving the engines from full throttle to idle and back and it's definitely the engines making the majority of the roar noise in the cockpit. I don't know if this is how it's supposed to but just reporting my opinion on it. Cheers.
P.D. I tried to record some videos to demonstrate what I mean but my iphone sound quality isn't very good so it's hard to tell the difference in loudness, but it's a lot for me.
