BAE146 RUNWAY PERFORMANCE
-
Hi All,
Firstly congratulations to the Just Flight team for creating this excellent version of the Bae146 for MSFS. This is my all time favourite aircraft since I was lucky enough to work at Hatfield during the last ten years of production. A wonderful experience.
I created a spreadsheet for runway take off and landing performance for the 146 many years ago, and while waiting for the MSFS version to be produced have expanded the sheet to include other aircraft types as well.
The spreadsheet, aircraft-runway-performance-spreadsheet is freely available from Flightsim.to: . See link below.

I have only just been able to download my own version of the 146, and will start flight testing shortly. I will then see if any of the weights need amendment in order to match the Just Flight versions, and assess the performance in the Sim compared to the predicted performance taken from published BAE information.
I will try to monitor this site on a regular basis and attempt to answer any questions. I do not pretend to be an expert on the 146, more of an enthusiastic amateur, so would be more than happy to make any changes to the spreadsheet when necessary.

@flightstrike Thanks for the positive comment.
I have now adjusted the 146 weights in the spreadsheet, in order to match those in the electronic flight bag and am flight testing the flex temp calculations. Before I publish a newer version I will wait for this weeks 146 update, and see whether that effects the performance. Still learning how to fly the aircraft smoothly and safely and setting up controls and switches. I want to ensure that the performance calculations do justice to this superb aircraft. -
I have now carried out the following adjustments to the Performance Spreadsheet:
- Adjusted the Bae146 weights to more closely match those of the Just Flight aircraft.
- Amended the Flex temp calculation, following initial flight testing of the Bae146 versions.
- Corrected an error in the flex temp calculation of the EASY version of the spreadsheet.
I have just released the new version PERF06 of the spreadsheet:

I will be carrying out further performance testing and will amend the calculations again if required.
I am extremely pleased with the way Just Flight are updating the aircraft, and the speed with which they are acting to correct any minor bugs that occur. If only Microsoft could adopt the same policy....
