Inaccurate Digital Displays
-
Hello,
First of all, I have to say that this is a great little airliner that is represented pretty well, and I enjoy it immensely.
However, there is a cosmetic issue I had noticed on the various 7 segment number displays that I can't unsee, most notably on the HSI DME and ground speed, the radio altimeter, and the NAV1 radio. They seem to use a variable-width font which isn't accurate for that display technology. The numbers jump around and do not line up with the texture showing the inactive segments of the display. I also noticed that this is not an issue on the XPlane version, so I made some screenshot comparisons to see what I mean, note the proper spacing next to the "1"s on the XPlane version as well as the NAV1 active and standby frequencies lining up, while on the MSFS version, everything is kinda just squished together.
It may be a minor issue, but I do hope a mono-space font that better represents the display technology will be added. -
I saw here that this issue has been reported and JF are looking into the font.

@nerdbark Yea, I just saw the v0.1.3 pending release patch notes.
"Mono-spaced fonts now used for digital read-outs (e.g. HSI distance and speed)"
I am pretty stoked this is getting fixed really quickly, among a whole bunch of other little things that bugged me with the plane. I'll be very happy with this patch.
