@stevep Sure I will give it a go later and see what happens.

@dc1973 Tested and working perfectly, intercepted the ILS at 15nm and 5,000ft, GLIDE engaged and Concorde tracked all the way in and landed with no pilot input. Sorry you're having issues but I cannot replicate them here.

I did take other shots but these hopefully show Concorde doing what it should.

@dc1973 thanks for your help, I know you must be so busy, I’ll try again, which IAF did you use? I’m using ILS Z procedure. Also in the second screen shot you seem to be below the GS…Did you TOGA? It just doesn’t seem very accurate to me. Quick question would it be possible to add height call outs for landing….? BTW I’ve not seen any video for Concorde MSFS, that uses correct procedures for landing her..I don’t know what your landing weight is but 190 knots seems fast

@stevep Just a note but you seem to have 50T+ of fuel onboard, the more I look at it Screenshot 2 the more I think TOGA it just isn't right is it...never mind being overweight to land, did you land?
What landing rate did you have 1000 plus I guess:beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:

JFYI: APP ILS 10-Z, VIA SONAX, STAR BASL3M procedure used for my flight

@stevep No special approaches, just a manual intercept as described and set GLIDE mode to autoland.

Yes, 50 tons is heavy but it was only to demonstrate that Concorde could do the ILS approach, so I just started on Keflavik's runway and flew a large circuit. It's why I selected 190 KIAS as the landing speed. Just before touchdown I manually flared, I think it was 300fpm when it landed but can't remember. Normally I'd like to see less than 30 tons fuel for landing.

There seems to be a problem with the logic of the autopilot and the INS system in my opinion. Normally, when I activate VOR/LOC in RAD mode, the TRK HDG or HOLD HDG button is automatically deactivated. As long as this works, the autopilot will also find the beam and adapt to it. The same applies to LAND or GLIDE mode. As long as that works, the ILS approach will also succeed. If now but once the INS button
is pressed in INS mode and then switched back to RAD mode, this logic no longer works in the above modes and the TRK HDG or HOLD HDG mode is no longer automatically deactivated during the entire flight. I found this out on my system in long experiments.

@delfin25 A bit hard to decipher what you actually mean, but with INS selected TRK HDG and TRK HOLD are automatically over-ridden. In RAD mode, INS needs to be off usually. There are answers coming through from other users to this question on the MS forums where you also posted it.

After intensive research, I have now been able to successfully complete some ILS approaches in autoland mode. In my case the reason for the irritating behavior of the autopilot was a manipulation of a 3rd party application (PF3) via FSUIPC. This means that even a clean community folder (PMS and TDS GTNxi are special candidates here) does not protect against interference. This will cause problems for many MSFS developers in the future.

@delfin25 Thanks for sharing this. A conflict with FSUIPC was not something I had thought of - I'll have to add it to the list of possible issues that can affect aircraft in MSFS.
