    Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding the setting of gear up/down control for arrow III.

I have a hardware switch button to control gear extension which works in such a way that when it’s pressed, the gear should be retracted and when it’s released the gear should be extended.

I normally configure in such a way that „gear retracted” control is set to „on press” for this button and „gear extended” is set to „on release”.
I’ve noticed that although „gear extended” control works just fine, „gear retracted” control is simply ignored by the arrow, no matter which button it is assigned to.

Is this a known issue and is there any workaround for this issue? Or should it be reported somewhere?

@captainaye Does this configuration work with any of the default aircraft? If not, then this is a bug in MSFS and not the Arrow III. I recommend using the TOGGLE GEAR, GEAR UP and GEAR DOWN commands and not using the "On Press" and "On Release" options to assign more than one command to a button.

@retiredman93231 This settings work fine for any other aircraft I use - from the default ones I checked da60 and cj4. So I think this issue is exclusively arrow related and it would be nice to have it addressed.

At the moment I found a workaround. If I set „set gear” to „on press” for the switch button additionaly, it works but only if master battery switch is on, which is enough for me but not fully realistic.

As for „toggle gear” option, it seems to work for push buttons, but for switch buttons (which are always on when in up position) it constantly tries to switch the gear lever up and down, because it seems that the on press event is sent periodically.

@captainaye You are correct... the SET commands are intended to be assigned to the ON position of a toggle switch, and will operate the way you originally intended. But, I use the GEAR UP and GEAR DOWN commands assigned to the UP and DOWN positions of the landing gear toggle switch on the Honeycomb BRAVO throttle quadrant, which also works well.
