Hi, I was wondering if an update is planned for the new prop physics feature in MSFS? The upcoming CFD improvements would also be great to see. Thank so much for the great work!

@okletsgo Yes but likely to be looked after and sorted after SU9, now.

@okletsgo To quote the relevant part of a post I made elsewhere on this forum:

"After a bit more time with the sim, combined with the information regarding aerodynamic improvements given in this video : https://youtu.be/Ndl07_7PsWg in which Seb directly references SU9 and the introduction of CFD with that update (despite the fact that the roadmap currently does not go beyond the end of this month and include it), it made no sense to try and introduce the new prop physics now and then have to rewrite everything once more when SU9 is released.

I will also say now that, given the proposed scale of changes to the flight model with SU9, any resultant changes will not be immediate because they will require study, implementation and then a serious amount of testing as the flight model will likely be entirely new."

Since that was written, it appears that the proposed CFD introduction will be over SU9 and SU10, so it may be a gradual process but it is all being planned. It's just that we're at the whim of the Sim developers and their timescales for making fundamental changes to how aircraft fly which we then have to try and keep up with.

@delta558 Thanks for the detailed response.
I think the very fact that you intend to update these existing products can be seen as a very positive indication of your commitment to your customer base. This motivates people like me to buy your products in the future.
There are many developers who do not even fix their bugs.
The update can come when the time is right, I (and I believe the community) understand that the changes to the sim are significant and changes take time.

            Thanks again so much.
