Autopilot HDG mode

Hi,
I have one little request about the HDG mode of the autopilot :
When you set the AP in this mode, it will follow the heading that you did set on the DI. But this device is sensible to gyro drift and will take degree after degree while you fly.
Anyway, the autopilot still continues to follow the set magnetic heading (like if it was tied to the compass) and not the gyro heading. Otherwise the autopilot would drift as the gyro heading does.
That's not the way it should be, as the HDG mode should be tied to the gyro heading and thus drift with it ! ;)
I hope that you will be able to put this little correction in the sim... :)

I have brought this up before here:
Apparently it is working as intended as they can't have the autopilot work differently depending on the selection of DG / HSI and most people use the HSI so they are leaving it this way.
I'm not sure if that is the correct thing to do since AFAIK if they changed it to work off the heading bug instead of the compass heading I would think that would work for both the HSI and DG - but I'm no add-on developer so I might be missing something.
Long story short you can manually patch it to work how you want by adding
hdg_ref_var=1under the[AUTOPILOT]section of thesystems.cfgfile.Nick
