    I also have this issue. Are we waiting for an update since SU5, or was it like this before that update as well?
    I'' try the values suggested by @RetiredMan93231 , but feels odd to be needing to change config files in order to perform a normal takeoff....

        Any point in these forums ?

        If it's "Contact Support" directly every time ?

          @gabe777 The forums are more for us users to ask questions to each other and share stuff. But if you contact support an actual ticket is created so they can track it. I don't think all the developers even look at the forums.

          As someone who works in software development, if there's no ticket for something it's probably not getting done, because you'll just forget.

            @vcapra1

            ... I've heard this argument before. Problem is, no-one gets the benefit of the solution... should there be one.

            People never go to FAQ pages. We like forums.

              @gabe777

              Unless the problem is specific to all users, then posting up any 'solution' is of marginal benefit at best and quite dangerous at worst. This thread is a perfect example - the first post here was from August and if every user needed to change the cfg files in order to take off, we would have had some pretty damning reviews by now.

              The point of the forum is not for support.

                @derek Yes I take your point.

                I will fill out a support ticket when I have an hour to spare, given it wants so much information.

                  That's the idea. Hopefully, with so much stuff to fill in, angry punters will just give up and go away. We spent ages coming up with lots of pointless fields to waste users' time. Sounds like it paid off 🙂

                    Don't know if you're being sarcy but it also puts people off buying stuff too.

                    This "hidden" support system is not very popular.

                      @gabe777 It doesn't take an hour to fill out. A few minutes tops. And it's not hidden, there's a link at the top of the homepage and it is the one and only link in the "Technical Support" section of the manual.

                      The small amount of additional time it takes you to create a support ticket probably saves the devs hours that they would otherwise have to spend combing through the forums separating general discussion from bug reports.

                        Really? On the contrary, I think Just Flight's Support Ticket system works well and it only takes a few minutes. The support they provide is one of the reasons I buy their products.

                        What BernieV suggested works nicely for me.
