Rescanning Add-on airports query
-
A question regarding re-scanning add-on airports while compiling a new traffic database. Does this process capture airports installed using the .xml method in P3D V5 ? If not, would using Pete Dowson's "Makerunways" application help ?
Thanks in advance,

First you should always run Makerunways if you add an airport to update the sim, TG will scan all airports installed and the TG Scenery folder, in V5 this can be a problem with default airports as the TG Scenery folder was created pre-V5 and can cause scenery bleed over. -
Ray,
I'll apologize in advance for being thick as a brick, but I don't understand the term "TG Scenery folder". My Traffic Global folder doesn't contain a scenery folder, and I can't find one anywhere else. That being said (again, apologies!), I've been in the habit for years of running Makerunways after adding/subtracting any airport scenery, so I'm guessing I should be good to go.

Default install Yourname/Documents/TrafficGlobal/AirportFacilities/Scenery.
As you can see mine is custom built for v5 and I am still working on it.

And this is how it links to your sim in the v5 Addons.

The TG folders the compiler Folder is where you will find the the flight plans that failed to install due to errors. The Log.txt will be date stamped with the last time you ran the compiler.
The other two are redundant and have been for some time.
