PA-28 Warrior II cruise speed

Hi, I'm following the tutorial flight in the manual, from Conington to Cloucester.

At the stage in the screenshot below, I would expect the cruise speed to be much higher than 93 knots (it later says reduce speed to 100 knots).

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Try it with the wheel fairings on... This reduces the drag significantly and increases the speed and performance.

Thanks, that's increased it to 104 knots

I got 10-15 knots faster when I used the fairings.

I was shocked how big a difference the fairings made - I was expected 5 or 6 kts more not 10+

@Matchstick the book figure is 7kts, it's something that will be refined further.
