Please put the Arrow III on in-game marketplace.

@iltarix They will be a while yet. The Turbo needs to be solid and then we will send both aircraft over to the Marketplace. MS will then need to QA and schedule a release. The reason they have not released up to now is that the marketplace cannot offer a bought-with discount on the Turbo, so they have to wait until both aircraft are available and can offer a bundle.
-
@iltarix and @Derek I don't get why it's such a hardship not having JF products on the marketplace. Downloading the initial release and subsequent updates from your account on JF's website is super easy and JF inform you when updates are available.
As I understand it from what I've read elsewhere, if they are put on the marketplace, availability of any updates would be delayed by however long MS take to approve them and it seems MS are very slow at doing that. I also understand that (please correct me if I'm wrong) JF would not be able to release any updates on their website before they are available on the marketplace. So the benefits of JF's quick response when working with users to address bugs, requests, etc. would be lost.
So please DON'T put them on the marketplace.

@Sender46 I also don't understand why its so hard for people to realize that there are people out there with dozens of add-ons from different developers. And having them in one place to maintain and update can be a huge time saver.
Just because you're not busy enough in your life and have the free time to go through 10 different developer's websites to see if there are any update on the plane/airport you have before you launch the game every single time doesn't mean other people have time to do that. Its okay if they don't wanna put it on marketplace, I just simply won't buy it.
-
@iltarix Why is it some people can't have a civil discussion without feeling the need to make a personal attack? You have no idea how busy I am in my life and it is not appropriate for you to assume that you do.
Like I said, JF tell you when there is an update - there is no need to spend time checking every single time you launch the game.
I do have other products from the marketplace. But JF is more of an exception than the rule regarding their interaction and response to users. I guess some people appreciate that more than others.
-
@Sender46 Again, that just goes back to my point.
So now I need JF updater running, Aerosoft updater running, Orbx Central running, and later the PMDG updater running etc etc.
How is that better in any way than just to have everything in one place aka the in-game marketplace and auto update everything when the game launches? And sorry if my previous statement sounded anything personal, it wasn't.

So, just to be clear, the aircraft WILL go on the Marketplace but not straight away. We will make any updates that are necessary to the Turbo version. Then we will build a bundle. Then all three will be uploaded to the MS QA section. MS will evaluate the software and then - assuming all three products meet their criteria - they will go on sale.
I hope that clarifies where we stand on this one. -

You don't. You'll get an email notification that there's an update, you go to the website, download and double click the installer and it's done. Easy as that.
I don't like the software approach of orbx and co either, but for the JF Arrow, the process is pretty straight forward. Also you have the benefit that most files can be edited, making modding easy and saved a lot of headache for issues that were fixed by the community in mods or temporary changes before they got integrated in an addon. In case of the marketplace, all the content is encrypted. While that might be ok for scenery, I really appreciate being able to mod my aircraft addons.
It's up to everyone to decide, just highlighting the process in this case so you can base your decision upon facts rather than assumptions.
