Why never any sales Just Flight?
-
I am a huge fan of and I own probably around $400 or more worth of Just Flight aircraft and other products for FSX and P3D that I've collected over the years and I have been a fan for a really long time.
I have just one question, why doesn't Just Flight ever have any sales on FSX & P3D products? Nearly all my JF products I own were purchased at or close to full price (depending on which vendor site). You have fairly regular sales on MSFS products, why not for us longtime loyal FSX/P3D users? Can't we ever get a discount once in a while too?
Don't get me wrong, I am happy that I can even still buy older JF products, even if they are no longer supported but I just don't understand why so stingy on FSX/P3D product sales? In fact, I can't even remember the last time I've seen a JF product for sale, it's probably been a couple years at least. I check websites all throughout the year looking for a sale and I see nothing. I realize us FSX/P3D users are a smaller minority these days but we still do exist.
Just Flight, if you want to make a little money off your older products then have some sales once in a while. You don't have to go crazy but just throw us a bone once in while would be nice. I and many other users will always be far more likely to make a purchase on a product that has a decent sale price than one that is not on sale. What have you got to lose if hardly anyone is buying the products at normal prices anyway?
In fact, when I see a sale, I often find myself spending much more than I would have otherwise. It would be a win win situation for the consumer and the developer.

Like you, I've invested heavily in P3D over the years. Owning the Tornado F3 simulator, costs are quite high to give other platforms to fly. P3D is still me preferred software as it allows me to launch AI targets to operate against. Given that none of the P3D programs are supported any more it would be a nice gesture for us diehards. As an aside, Aero Heaven have released a lot of P3D models as freeware on the ORBX site.

It turns out they finally did give us a break. Fairly recently, I noticed a couple months ago that they have completely changed everything on their Special Offers page. They took off all of the old stuff that was there and replaced it with many JF P3D add-ons for great prices (maybe they read my rant here lol).
Most of the prices are about half of the original prices for these add-ons. I've already picked up a couple models and I plan to buy more soon. You should check it out, I think you will be happy with what they are offering.

I am a big fan of JF, I think many of their aircraft are amazing for what you get and I am happy they are finally giving us a break.
They always were overpriced but I've always loved the flight models and the aircraft modeling and the texture work of many of their aircraft. Especially the texture work has always had such a photorealistic-like effect for older FSX and P3D models that virtually nobody else at the time was able to replicate.

That's fascinating. I haven't tried the Tornado yet though I do plan to try it at some point. I normally enjoy flying GA and Commercial aircraft in P3D, however, I do fly military aircraft sometimes. I recently bought JF's Canberra and it's a joy to fly and to look at.
Military aircraft can be extremely fun to fly, like the old A2A P-40 Warhawk, the freeware by Dino, his Goshhawk and F-14 for example, and there's some fantastic quality freeware military aircraft I found on Rikoooo.
Also, don't forget that Milviz did the same thing as Aeroplane Heaven did, release all their payware as freeware once they decided to abandon P3D, they have some great military aircraft as well. I love their all their military aircraft.
