Boeing 707 Possible?

It seems like no one is doing vintage jet liners for MSFS.
Just Flight has had a go:

No plans for a 707, however.

@derek Thanks for the response Derek. I do appreciate what JF has done with the F28, and 146. I guess it would just be nice to see planes from the dawn of the jet age in commercial aviation. The 707, the VC10.
I realize they're far less popular than a 737, or Airbus, but it is definitely an era that is sorely lacking in flight sim since MSFS came out. And that's disappointing considering just how many aircraft, from all eras we had in FSX.
If I had to guess it is due to just how expensive development has gotten, on top of the time required to make these aircraft vs almost 2 decades ago.

FSX/P3D was around for nearly 14 years whereas MSFS has been out for just over three. We published a VC10, Bac 1-11, Comet, Tristar, Constellation, DC-6 and more for the old platform but none of them were particularly successful in commercial terms compared to more modern types. Lots of demand for old airliners but unfortunately it never seemed to translate into lots of sales. Maybe MSFS will be different...

I completely understand the business economics side of it. Most tend to favor planes that are currently flying is what I am assuming. However Asobo keeps commissioning companies to create some vintage airliners such as the Boeing 307 and DC-3. So perhaps one day they might knock on Just Flight's door and ask for a 707, DC-8 or other 60s-70s era airliners. I can only dream of having such airliners in MSFS.
That is why I am very grateful the A300B4 and even the 747 classic will arrive some day.
So I guess we must recruit our friends and everyone we see to become flight simmers in MSFS and introduce them to Just Flight planes. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: Perhaps FS 2024 will lure even more new simmers into this hobby.

@neinnunb A true classic will also become more and more of a challenge to fly as more and more nav aids are replaced by GPS waypoints and RNAV procedures. But if a retrofit variant is also included, say with a GTN750, that issue goes away, and you're left with the fun of trying to get an old school airliner up and running.
