Random Startup Bugs
-
On many occasions I have experienced random bugs when first starting a flight that may be cleared up after restarting the flight. Most frequent are related to the GTN750 where the squawk code cannot be changed from 7000, and the NAV frequency cannot be altered. Recently the display screen of both the GTN 750 and 650 may fail to light up but that seems to be cleared by clicking the mouse over them. Today new bugs appeared where the active pause option was missing from the toolbar, and another time the aircraft remained frozen in place after the parking brake appeared to be released. Those also cleared up after a restart.
These type of events happened before the SU5 and the most recent aircraft updates. I have experienced them with both the Arrow III and the Warrior II. They may happen with the Turbos as well but I have not had much time in those aircraft. I have no clue as to whether they are sim bugs, aircraft bugs, or some combo of both. They certainly detract from my experience and must be checked and cleared up before continuing each flight. I would like to know if others have also experienced this behavior. -
I haven't seen anything like that, I've flown both the Arrow and the Warrior, though only the Warrior since its release. I also don't use the GTN 750 at all. You may try a clean install of one of the aircraft without the add-on GPS, see if the problems persist, then slowly add things back in. It sounds like it may be a conflict of some sort.

@katchaplin Yes I am also thinking there may be a conflict with another add on. I removed all of my add on liveries for JF planes and have not had this type of issue repeat so far. So I don't think there is an issue with the GTN750/650. I just put back one recent livery for the Warrior and I will be looking to see if the random bugs come back. I have previously found strange bugs caused by custom interior add ons that had not been updated. I am also really enjoying the docile Warrior for relaxing flights as well as practicing instrument approaches. Don't know what JF did to make their aircraft handle so realistically. Thanks for your thoughts.
