747 Classic Progress
-
Good news so far!This has been on my wishlist since the time it has been announced!I always had a fair love for classic airliners.Beats hitting the LNAV/VNAV button and just let the plane go.
Is there any chance we might see a video of this Classic?Would love to get a sneak preview of the sounds and motion we can expect in the sim.
Or some new screens would be welcome too :).brgds,

@BelgianTiger_2 Will try and sort a video or two and a sounds video closer to release. New screens too, hopefully quite soon on that front. Thanks for your interest.

@Voice-of-Reason Is this gonna be released next month?
-
@Captain-Bakon That's the aim but there are no guarantees I'm afraid. We're at a point in development where although there are not too many major tasks left to complete there is still much testing and tweaking going on, which can then result in more coding, re-coding etc to get things right. So it's still hard to give an exact release date I'm afraid. We're trying our very best thought to bring it to you just as quickly as we can.
-
With the TFDi TrueGlass and RealLight integrated ? Can you guys release some pics to show its effect on this plane?
-
We added some pics to the Product page a while ago showing the effects off, here are a few of the examples and more can be found on the product page.
-
It's looking good, how is progress going? can we get a video of the cockpit sounds?
-
I'm still REALLY hoping this gets initial release this month, I just want to flip through the buttons and switches to see what is functional.
What percentage of the entire cockpit is functional? 80% 90%?
-
@Captain-Bakon I would personally prefer that it is released as a finished product (excluding any potential future development of course), granted there will inevitably be bugs that appear after release which will require the odd patch but a fully-functional aircraft on release is nice to have nonetheless.
I nonetheless share your hopes though! From next month I'll be abroad for the next 3-4 months so hopefully I'll be able to do a few flights before I leave, even if that isn't the case though I'll look forward to giving the aircraft a try when I get home.

@SimeonWilbury
As for as I'm concerned, an unfinished product with some bugs is acceptable, as long as bugs can be repaired and the functions can be completed in further updates. What really matters is that I'm leaving home for school months later, where I have to run the p3d on my laptop without stick or yoke. I totally understand your preference, however, for me the sooner the better.It's just now that the Microsoft announced the release date of the new MSFS, I wonder whether we can get the 747cl before the MSFS.
-
@centurion88 I certainly hope so, didn't JF say they are in the final phase now?
-
@Captain-Bakon Not sure we said that but maybe we did and if so it's not far off the truth but remember that final phase is usually the most unpredictable in terms of work, tasks, tweaking, testing, tweaking again etc. A lot of the early coding and modelling is much easier to forecast in terms of a timeline for it, the final 'phase' not quite so straightforward though. Thanks for your continued interest, trying our very best to be able to give more news within the coming weeks.
-
@Oskar3058 Yep you're perhaps right, some will wait for it to be on that platform, some might not, we shall see. All of that hasn't escaped us, rest assured.

@Voice-of-Reason
More pics and vids plz. It has been a long time since the latest pictures were released. -
I guess it is coming next month, I wonder how close we are to a release canidate.
-
@Captain-Bakon When you find out please let us know. :) Seriously, we're getting there but no guarantees on dates still from us at the moment. There will be some new pics and some small development updates over the coming days with some narrative to them. Mainly on Social Media and then on our website.

There's a small development update on our Facebook page now if you wanted to take a look, some text and accompanying pictures make up the post.
