747 Classic Progress

@SimeonWilbury My guess is it is reasonably feasible to port, especially from P3D considering the FSX framework that FS2020 is built off of, but we obviously won't know until JF gets a handle on the SDK and we get a more public view of FS2020's files to see just how much of a change the aircraft system is. It could be as easy as a flight model redux, or as difficult as having to rewrite the code for the model in it's entirety. I certainly hope it's an easy endeavor though.

Now I'm not part of the development team at Just Flight but I can pretty much guarantee that that's not going to be the case. Experience tells me otherwise, these things are never quite as simple as you and we would hope. My educated guess would be and it'll vary product to product of course but perhaps it'll lie somewhere between your first two suggestions. Pure guesswork at the moment though until the team have a little more dedicated time to start experimenting and looking into this further. We're eager for them to be able to do that but one or two priorities stand in the way just at the moment. Cheers.

The good news is that they stated they are eager to support it! So, while it may not be easy to do, they definitely have the desire to bring certain products over to MSFS2020. Where there is a will, there is a way. I believe we will see the 747 in MSFS at some point. At least I hope so, because I don’t intend on buying P3D v5 or re-installing v4.

The lighting is wonderful. It looks that the 747cl is close to its release isn't it?
-
@centurion88 I believe that to be the case, hopefully shortly.
-
Have seen the new screenshots posted this morning, that is looking like a very fine VC indeed,
looking forward to hopefully soon be able to induct this aircraft into my fleet with a flight into Kai Tak. -
Just Flight just please answer this for me. Will the 747 come with air conditioning, ventilation, cooling fan, flap handle, etc sounds?
-
So just a ballpark, no strings attached answer, when is a likely release date? I thought it woukd be out by now?
-
I hope it has the proper fire alarm sound, showcased here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZD2puBJz4E

@Voice-of-Reason Is the 747 coming this month?
-
@Captain-Bakon That's very unlikely as things stand.
-
@Voice-of-Reason This summer still good?
-
@Captain-Bakon Hopefully, yes.
-
@Oskar3058 Very hard to say I'm afraid. 747 still due out prior to the A300 but that could change, we shall see. Hope that helps, to some degree :)

Good news so far!This has been on my wishlist since the time it has been announced!I always had a fair love for classic airliners.Beats hitting the LNAV/VNAV button and just let the plane go.
Is there any chance we might see a video of this Classic?Would love to get a sneak preview of the sounds and motion we can expect in the sim.
Or some new screens would be welcome too :).brgds,
Steven -
@BelgianTiger_2 Will try and sort a video or two and a sounds video closer to release. New screens too, hopefully quite soon on that front. Thanks for your interest.

@Voice-of-Reason Is this gonna be released next month?
