747 Classic Progress

Well, I think it would be very unfair to attribute that it would be similar to that of the CLS 747 given that I think the overall standard of flight sim releases has vastly improved in all regards since then, and I think the list of features on the in development page is demonstrative that it is a different beast.
In terms of system fidelity, the L1011 Tristar Professional was rather good given that it was(from what I understand) one of the first cracks JF gave to making a high fidelity aircraft in house.
CLS' work at the time was of a very different standard, and even amongst their lineage of products they vastly improved in quality - especially from their older Airbus series which would be freeware standard today to their MD80, which was alright.
Unlike the CLS, this does seem to have a nearly fully modelled flight engineers panel in VC.
- Aspects such as how the hydraulic system according to engine function is a good sign as well as fuel system.
- I also quite like that EPR will mean something when in cruise to get optimum fuel consumption. If this works as advertised it will be demonstrative that engine performance has been simulated rather accurately. But as you say, we'll have to see how this differs between aircraft performance. I wouldn't be opposed to them initially releasing it under JT9D performance and then filling out the CF6 and RB211 in time.
That said, we'll just have to see.

@Jon_OZ strange, that, because I actually find your derogatory comment about 'CLS level' quite offensive given that we are prioritising hard work behind the scenes (and there is a LOT going on) over answering every single demand on the forum! What evidence do you have to back up your suggestion? I would suggest you just wait and see.

If a developer can't answer a simple question about what JT9D engine is modeled, then slap me down and call me sue.
CLS got it wrong with that, badly.
Ifly claimed to have 3 different 747 models, yet its one engine variant with 3 different sounds. Pretty poor.
Milviz claim the BE350 is 'beyond study level' yet cant even provided documentation that support it.Sorry we simmers - before spending hard earned money - ask simple questions like what engine variant you're using.
If that one is wrong, what else is?Just food for thought...

You don't have to buy a plane at release, you can wait for reviews - I do, a lot of times. In the grand scheme of things when certain planes have had years of development waiting another month never killed
And even so, I believe Just Flight has a refund policy for a limited time.

@Captain-Bakon No definitely not. A while after that and can't give you a date, even a month just now as it's just guesswork. As and when we're more confident of dates we'll give more details. Hope that helps for now.

Release next month? I keep seeing more and more pictures, although it would be nice to see some new photos of the night cockpit too.

When can we expect release, by now you guys should be able to tell I assume?
