Combi, JT9D-70A, and FMC expansion
-
Bumping this because I never got a proper response, but is there any intention to have a combi expansion or JT9D-70A variant included? The JT9D-70A is supposed to be basically identical to the JT9D-59A except having slightly less thrust, and I figure the documentation used to create the -59A variant for the A300 could be used to create the -70A for the 747 model, and flight performance can be extrapolated from the thrust and excess weight of the cowling if exact documentation isn’t already available.

@noob21 Sorry for the delay in replying to this. Firstly we want to get the base pack to completion and released at which point all other options will be reviewed and decisions made so not ruling out but it's not planned currently. Thanks

@voice-of-reason thanks for the reply, I do hope that it could be included as a part of a combi expansion, which I hope would be sort of obligatory considering you guys aren’t including it in the base pack, which is understandable. There haven’t really been any other renditions of the engine and it’s kind of annoying to have to use CF6 models as a placeholder.

Also just wanted to get it out there that if it wasn't already known, G-MKGA, a JT9D-70A equipped 747 is at EGBP Kemble, and would probably serve as an excellent visual reference if there is an effort to make a model as part of an expansion. I also wanted to mention that I was wrong in saying that JT9D-70As were only mounted to freighter and combi 747s, as they were mounted to LV-MLO, a 747 operated by Aerolineas Argentinas from 1979 to 1981 before being re-engined with more conventional looking JT9D-7Qs.
