Traffic Global: No AI traffic on 2nd PC for external visuals
-
Hi JustFlight team,
I'm running 2 installations of X-Plane (11.50rc2) on two PCs over LAN network. One is the main PC (master), the other one is used for external visuals (slave). I'm using the built-in network setup of X-Plane which works fine. I've installed Traffic Global on both PCs (current version from 28/08/2020). But I can see AI traffic only on the master PC. If I switch the 2nd PC as a master as well, Traffic Global works fine and I can see AI traffic as usual. As soon as I switch the 2nd back to "external visuals" AI traffic disappears and Traffic Global seems not to work. I would like to know how to get AI traffic displayed on the external-visuals-PC. Because except Traffic Global everything works well over the network, I suppose my network setup is OK. In the manual is mentioned a networked PC for external visuals should show a message if it can not recieve AI traffic data from the master PC. I do not get such kind of message. According to the PDF manual of Traffic Global network fuctionality should work "out of the box", but in my case it doesn't. Did I miss something? Is there anything else what I should try?
Thanks for your advice and support!

I too have the same setup and yes Traffic does not work when connected across network, in fact what happens for me is both my visuals pc’s just hang and I need to use task manager to shut down xplane. All I can say is it all worked perfectly before the latest update :( .
Has anyone else managed to get this to work across multiple PC’s etc etc if what settings do you use in the Network Tab ?
I really do hope this gets sorted as I have had to uninstall completely. Not happy

If you contact Just Flight support they can look into this and, if a fix is necessary, get the ball rolling on making one.

This does sound odd. Network operation is definitely tested and even works across platforms (Win/Mac). As long as both ends are the same version and both licensed it really should just work. The most likely problem is that it's being blocked by a firewall. Contact support and we can work through it in detail.
Update - have had a second report of this so I'll definitely be looking into it next week.
