Really Enjoying This
-
I looked forward to this product for months, and I am not disappointed.
It’s easy to use, integrates with SimBrief very well, and no longer do I sit at the game screen for ages wondering where to fly to. This does that for me by giving me a schedule. I also like how I don’t have to sit there and fiddle with the ingame time to fit the schedule, the software does it for me.
The only issues I have so far are minor:
-
I got a negative for not retracting the flaps before engines were stopped. But they were. I always retract them as soon as I leave the runway after landing.
-
I assume that second officers don’t get paid that much at first, but for a two plus hour flight I earned £34. Did somebody at JF forget to add a zero? Seems very low wage to me. Perhaps that’s all second officers get in real life.
Oh, and £33 a day for gas and electricity? Where am I living, Buckingham Palace?
Joking aside, a brilliant product and well worth the wait.
Good work JF.

Hey BBoaBrim - thanks for the feedback - I'm glad you're enjoying Fly the Line.
For item 1 - when you next do a flight, toggle the Realtime data and just do a check and see if your flaps are registered OK in the aircraft. The other thing you could do is submit a ticket via Support so I can look at the data and see what was logged. Keen to iron out issues like this asap. It may be the aircraft flap settings are not detected. There is an option in the aircraft manager where you can tick "Allow flapless take off" or "Allow flapless landing". That would stop you getting penalised if it continues to happen with that particular aircraft.
On the pay side of things - yeah, the costs are somewhat exagerated and you're underpaid to start with but it soon goes up. I tried with realistic dates, times, pay but you'd literally have to play Fly the LIne for 10-15 years if you actually wanted to go through all the levels so it's a cross between progression/realism
Keep me posted!

@NeoGeo78 Hi
Just completed my second flight, same aircraft (Fenix A320). This time I did not have a negative on the flaps. I am wondering if the flaps error in the first flight was to do with the parking brake being applied before I retracted the flaps. What I usually do, and did on that first flight, is vacate the runway, parking brake on, clean up flaps and turn off strobes and landing lights. Then I request taxi. On this second flight I ensured that I clean up the flaps BEFORE applying the parking brake once having vacated the runway.
I had real time data on during this second flight and the flaps positions were correctly identified in the data at all times.
On a side note, I noticed a spelling mistake on the page where you allocate what I did in my spare time. Exercise is spelled "EXCERCISE" on that page.
