747 Classic Progress

Hi all, have you had any thoughts on just using GSX integration? That would be really neat.
-
@Captain-Bakon Yes you will, the team are working hard very hard and good progress is being made, hope the wait won't be too much longer for you.
-
@cmcloughlin You'll have the option of both.
-
Hey Voice of Reason, do you have any more pictures of the night cockpit for us? it's been a while and the last ones were taken early WIP.

Yes
-
It will be out this summer for sure?

@Noob21 It would certainly be a wonderful aircraft to have in FS2020 assuming it's feasable to port it - then again I reckon I'm going to rack up many hours bussing the Cathay -200 model between Taipei and Kai Tak in P3Dv4 so I can wait plenty of time before that!
-
@SimeonWilbury My guess is it is reasonably feasible to port, especially from P3D considering the FSX framework that FS2020 is built off of, but we obviously won't know until JF gets a handle on the SDK and we get a more public view of FS2020's files to see just how much of a change the aircraft system is. It could be as easy as a flight model redux, or as difficult as having to rewrite the code for the model in it's entirety. I certainly hope it's an easy endeavor though.

Now I'm not part of the development team at Just Flight but I can pretty much guarantee that that's not going to be the case. Experience tells me otherwise, these things are never quite as simple as you and we would hope. My educated guess would be and it'll vary product to product of course but perhaps it'll lie somewhere between your first two suggestions. Pure guesswork at the moment though until the team have a little more dedicated time to start experimenting and looking into this further. We're eager for them to be able to do that but one or two priorities stand in the way just at the moment. Cheers.
-
The good news is that they stated they are eager to support it! So, while it may not be easy to do, they definitely have the desire to bring certain products over to MSFS2020. Where there is a will, there is a way. I believe we will see the 747 in MSFS at some point. At least I hope so, because I don’t intend on buying P3D v5 or re-installing v4.

Man that night lightning looks great! Can't wait to fly this beast around the world. Finally i can take out my ols 742F schedules out again that i used with the RFP742 back in the FS9 days :).
Keep it up JF!
PS:If you gents still need some more data or info,i can check at work if there is still something laying around.Or if you still need someone to put this bird through it's phases, drop me a note ;).
-
The lighting is wonderful. It looks that the 747cl is close to its release isn't it?
-
@centurion88 I believe that to be the case, hopefully shortly.

Have seen the new screenshots posted this morning, that is looking like a very fine VC indeed,
looking forward to hopefully soon be able to induct this aircraft into my fleet with a flight into Kai Tak.
