PA28 Arrow III - Unable to turn key and other rotary switches

Just purchased the PA28 Arrow III for X-Plane 11 and very pleased with it so far apart from I have great difficulty in turning rotary switches and the ignition key with the mouse. Is there a special way you have to click / move the mouse? Anyone else with the same problem?
